Lufthansa Aviation Training GmbH (short “LAT”) is one of Europe’s leading flight training organizations.

The company, headquartered in Munich, Germany,
operates 12 training centers in Central Europe and North America and offers its comprehensive expertise in the provision of basic and further training for cockpit and
cabin personnel to more than 200 airlines.

LAT’s training facilities offer a broad range of trainings, covering aircraft training, simulator training of all common aircraft types, emergency and service training, as well as computer-based learning programs.

The training devices comprise full flight simulators as well as flight simulation training devices for all relevant Airbus, Boeing, Bombardier, and Embraer aircraft types. All devices are available for operation – around the clock, 363 days a year.

In its daily business but also in the training of pilots and cabin crews, safety, quality and professionalism are Lufthansa Aviation Training’s paramount priorities. Maintaining an overview of the company’s compliance and safety is therefore one of the most important tasks of LAT’s management.

In order to introduce a uniform system throughout the organization to facilitate communication and increase transparency, as well as to streamline internal reporting and auditing processes by adopting a consistent method, the project managers from LAT and ASQS have adapted IQSMS to the company’s requirements over the recent months and successfully implemented the integrated safety and quality management system, which is planned to go live in the first week of May 2021.
