The app now intelligently adapts to both V3 and the new V4 iQSMS. When connecting to V3 servers, audits display traditional question formats. Upon server upgrades to V4, the same app automatically recognizes new audit structures featuring new question types introduced in V4.

iOS 18 and iOS 26 Optimization

The application has been thoroughly redesigned to support current Apple iOS versions and upcoming iOS 26. The interface adapts to iOS 26’s repositioned search functionality, where Apple has moved the search bar from the navigation area to the bottom of the screen. The app includes responsive design elements that automatically adjust button styles and positioning based on the iOS version. While the app is optimized for iOS 26, it remains functional on iOS 15, 16, 17, and 18, ensuring users can upgrade at their own pace. However, certain functions, like video mode will be exclusively available in iOS 26.

Advanced Image Markup Capabilities

Another feature of the new app is the comprehensive image markup functionality. Users can now better annotate images on their mobile devices using either finger touch or stylus input. The markup toolset includes drawing tools, color selection, and a moveable, resizable tool picker that adapts to different screen orientations.

The app implements a non-destructive editing approach which means each markup session creates a new image while preserving the original. This allows auditors to create multiple annotated versions without losing source material. All images remain stored in the audit library and are only uploaded when attached to specific audit questions, optimizing data management and storage efficiency.

Standard Mobile Interaction Patterns

The app now includes standard pull-to-refresh functionality alongside traditional refresh buttons, providing users with familiar interaction patterns. Filter controls remain easily accessible at the bottom of the screen, ensuring efficient audit list management during field operations.

Improved User Interface Design

The redesigned interface features nearly 100% new layouts and styling, incorporating modern design principles while maintaining the intuitive workflow that iQSMS users expect. Visual improvements include subtle design elements such as light grey disabled button states and refined button styling that adapts to iOS version requirements.

The new app introduces several productivity improvements that streamline the auditing workflow. For example, the “Copy anywhere” functionality allows users to seamlessly copy and paste text throughout the app, providing a handy improvement for auditors. 

Enhanced HTML Table Support

The updated app now renders HTML tables from regulations directly within the audit interface. This improvement ensures that tables remain properly formatted and accessible during mobile auditing.
