ASQS is happy to announce that the cargo airline Amapola Flyg, a pioneer in the segment of Fokker 50 Freighters, implements IQSMS to further improve their quality and safety measures.
Established in 2004 and wholly owned by the Swedish investment company Salenia, Amapola Flyg AB is based at Malmö Airport, operating freight services on behalf of the Swedish Post Office and ASL Airlines. Amapola also produces passenger service on behalf of Sparrow Aviation. With its long experience in the aviation industry, the company’s scope of activities not only includes regional air cargo, a broad range of aviation and consultancy services to logistic companies, military forces and governmental authorities alike, but also ad hoc passenger charters, as well as ACMI contracts.
Amapola currently operates a uniform fleet consisting of 14 Fokker 50 Aircraft: 10 E class Cargo, 2 E-class Cargo Large Cargo door and 2 Passenger Aircraft.
The company is implementing the IQSMS standard set-up including the Quality and Risk Management Module as well as the Reporting Module. This enables Amapola to monitor established safety standards within the organization and take an important step towards an efficient hazard and risk mitigation.
