ASQS participated in a Trade Mission to Jakarta in order to expand into Indonesia.
From the 26th to the 28th of September 2017, ASQS took part in the Infrastructure Trade Mission to Indonesia, which was organized by Advantage Austria Indonesia (Commercial Section of the Austrian Embassy Jakarta) led by Mag. Clemens Machal.
With more than 250 million inhabitants, Indonesia is the world’s fourth most populous nation with the largest economy within the Association of Southeast Asian Nations (ASEAN). Growing steadily in the last few years, Indonesia’s diversified economy offers lots of development opportunities especially in the infrastructure sector.
Focusing on Jakarta, this mission presented 11 Austrian companies with the unique chance to showcase their products and create ties with business communities on site in order to expand into the Indonesian market. Apart from several meetings with possible customers, investors and relevant decision makers, the participants were given the possibility to gain new contacts on the networking event at the invitation of the Austrian Embassy.
Regarding the three-day event, ASQS Managing Director Günther Schindl stated that the very well organized mission not only enabled a deep understanding of the business opportunities Indonesia has to offer but also supported the participants in establishing valuable contacts with possible future customers.
“After a number of meetings with various aviation companies including airlines, non-scheduled operators as well as helicopter operators, I am happy to say, that the mission was a great success for us. There is a big interest in our product IQSMS not least because of our new office in Bangkok, which provides our Asian customers with service and support on site”, Mr. Schindl declared.
