From the 5th-6th September, the Asia Pacific Aviation Safety Seminar (APASS), organized by the Association of Asia Pacific Airlines (AAPA), once again gathered safety professionals from the Asia Pacific region, safety experts from IATA and the Flight Safety Foundation, as well as representatives from renowned airlines, airframe manufacturers and service providers from all over the world, to highlight practical and innovate solutions to safety challenges.
This year’s seminar provided presentations and workshops addressing various safety-relevant topics, including the effectiveness of safety management systems, the role and impact of human factors in day-to-day operations and the diverse facets of cabin safety. The presentations and workshops emphasized the necessity of close cooperation in the aviation industry, in order to achieve a continuous improvement of the global aviation safety performance.
Attending this well organized premier regional aviation safety event was a real pleasure and provided an interesting insight in the regional safety challenges, developments and best practices. As sponsors of the event, we were proud not only to exhibit but also to showcase our integrated quality and safety management solution and are delighted with the lively interest IQSMS evoked among the seminar’s participants.
