Modernizing its Quality, Safety and Risk Management, Azores Airlines has implemented IQSMS. ASQS is excited to support the airline with our know-how in the improvement of existing quality and safety measures.
Aiming to bring the world to the Azores and the Azores to the world, Azores Airlines, a subsidiary of SATA Air Açores and formerly known as SATA Internacional, currently operates scheduled flights to Europe, North America and Macaronesia, contributing thereby to the growth and development of tourism in the Azores.
The Portuguese airline is headquartered in Ponta Delgada on the island of São Miguel in the Azores and has its hub, just like its parent company SATA Air Açores, at Aeroporto João Paulo II (Ponta Delgada Airport). Azores Airlines currently operates a fleet of 3 Airbus 310-300, 3 Airbus 320-200 and 1 Airbus 330-200 aircraft.
The Airline implemented 4 IQSMS modules, which support and improve the company’s established Quality and Risk Management by providing a centralized database where all data like crew reports, audit findings and recommendations are entered, accessible and able to be processed twenty-four-seven. Additionally, the Airport and Flight Risk Module covers airport-related hazards, which supports Azores Airlines with the determination of the operational risk of served airports. IQSMS therefore facilitates risk mitigation in the airline’s daily operations and contributes to an efficient workflow within the organization.
ASQS looks forward to a long-term cooperation with Azores Airlines. For further information regarding our new client, please visit https://www.azoresairlines.pt.
