Every airport operated bears different hazards which may increase the risk of your operation – such as airport infrastructure, weather phenomena, surrounding terrain, ground handling, etc.

It is important for operators to be aware of the risks that may impact their daily operation in order to implement adequate and efficient safety controls. The objective of the Airport and Flight Risk Module is to support you with the determination of operational risks of airports you serve. After the completion of checklists, relevant risk factors are assessed and the operational risk is automatically calculated. Furthermore, a risk analysis for single flights (FRAT) can be performed based on airports and actual flight data.


In order to reduce the workload of your Operations Control Center when assessing airports, basic airport data, such as fire fighting category, runway information etc. can be directly imported from AC-U-KWIK. This avoids time-consuming investigation for relevant airport information and the Airport & Flight Risk Module is your one-stop risk assessment tool. Easy to read results assist the Operations Control Center in determining whether an operation to a new airport can be performed at an acceptable risk level. Additionally, for each analyzed airport the airport category (A, B and C) is determined in accordance with AMC 1 ORO.FC.105 (b)(2). Use the results as a briefing tool to provide your flight crews with an efficient document pointing out operational limitations and summarizing all readily available airport data. You can even display your uploaded pictures directly in the airport briefing with pictorial information you would like emphasize.

In cooperation with a leading helicopter operator, the Flight Risk Module has also been customized to the special needs of this industry. To comply with OGP standards, the flight crew can perform flight risk assessments before departure. The head office receives all information in real time to ensure an effective internal risk management.
