A shared vision of a software solution that would revolutionize aviation quality, safety and risk management and an innovative idea of how to achieve this brought Günther Schindl, Wilhelm Kment and Günther Syrowatka together and led to the founding of Aviation Safety and Quality Solutions S.a.r.L. in Luxembourg in 2009.

The combination of their experience and expertise in aviation and IT resulted in iQSMS, a web-based, integrated safety and quality management system designed for the aviation industry that enables operators to handle safety-related data more flexibly and effectively, guaranteeing continuous compliance with applicable aviation regulations, standards and protocols. Passion, perseverance and conviction, along with the trust and support of ASQS’ early customers, paved the way for the continued development of the iQSMS suite. The global legal requirement to implement an SMS in aviation finally led to the opening of the Austrian entity ASQS GmbH and the relocation of the operational headquarters to Vienna.
